Do yourself some good.

That's the point.

I've mentioned cravings here and there already, and just yesterday confessed to my big obsession with eggnog (however justified as 'not a chronic toxicity type of craving.')

Why should it matter? Who cares what you eat, anyway? Or more importantly, if you don't care what's the fuss?

One interesting thing that's come along as a result of my diversion into green smoothies and healthier eating is that my body now seems way more attuned than it used to be. I guess all that 'fog' just obscured everything back then.

Now, what happens when I get off into things that are processed, dairy, wheat, all that stuff that's alkalyzing (yup, especially eggnog), I feel the effects pretty immediately.

Sometimes it's an overwhelming sleepiness. Motivation goes packing again. And often it's those niggling aches and pains that just come roaring back.

So to me, that's the point, really. I enjoy my life so much more when I'm healthier—and that's an ongoing process with more progress ahead. Why give all that up for the transitory pleasure of a cup of eggnog?

(I actually stopped that yesterday. Reserve the right to have a bit more on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and that's it. See, it's not a real craving because there's some in the fridge right now.)
